It lies in the Knockmealdown, Comeragh and Monavullagh Mountains area (Knockmealdown Mountains). Its prominence, the drop to the col before higher ground, is 678 m. The summit is marked by a trig point. It is also on the Marilyn, Simm, Historic County Top and Current County/UA Top lists.
